Precision Series® Standard Ironers
- Braun’s standard line of ironers are available in steam or thermal fluid models in a variety of configurations and can be ordered in 120″ or 130″ working widths, 32″ or 48″ diameter rolls.
- Braun manufactures Precision Series® Ironers with deep chest heating and large diameter rolls to apply a superb flatwork finish.
- Braun’s Deep Chest Ironer’s durability and reliability is superior over Flex Chest Ironers. Our chests are tested to 353 psi hydrostatically and ASME stamped and certified. If a piece of metal should go through the ironer and gouge the chest, Braun’s chest can be buffed out. If this same damage situation should occur in a thin walled/flex chest ironer, the chest must be replaced. Replacement is the only alternative and none can handle the ASME testing. This is important to consider as you evaluate the best use of your capital.
Ironer Canopy
- The ironer canopy improves ironer performance by helping to retain heat within the ironer minimizing temperature loss and providing for a more temperate workplace.
- The canopy also prevents foreign objects from falling between the rollers and damaging the ironer chest and padding.
- Lightweight and easy to remove
- Truly insulated sectionalized canopy carrying an R-Value of R-5.7.
- Others on the market are a poly-carbonate non-insulated canopy with minimal R-Value, resulting in heat loss and have a non-slide off lift design.
Ironer Rolls Lift Out of Chest
- Ironer rolls can be lifted 15 ¾” out of the chest by Pneumatic pressure cylinders, allowing easy cleaning and padding. (Ironers with 48″ diameter rolls can be lifted up to 14″). If air pressure or power is suddenly lost, all rolls lock into position to prevent accidental lowering.
Side Frames Design
- Side frames were designed to disclose interior supports
- Inner guards were made removable for access into ironing cavity
- This design increases maintenance access and serviceability
- All maintenance activities are done through the side frame
- A jog pendent provides for remote access and assistance during maintenance for roll padding, spring press and chest cleaning. Also eliminates the need for additional personnel
Tape Guides
- Tape guides on Braun ironers are conveniently located at the front of the ironer making them easily accessible. Others on the market are located at the back of the ironer and require a catwalk to access them. Not only are they difficult to access, the catwalk could compromise operator safety and adds to the ironer’s footprint, taking up additional real estate.
Tension Wheel
- The tension wheel is used to prevent the ironer ribbons from constantly running in the same spot on the pads. If left to do so, the ribbons would eventually wear out sections of the ironer pad, creating uneven surfaces which will translate to lines and wet spots on sheets.
Multi-Motor Drive
- The multi-motor drive utilizes a single gearmotor per roll section, eliminating the need for costly sprockets, belting, and bearings
- Ergonomic design reduces set-up time and maintenance requirements
- Plug and play connections allow for fast and easy installation and replacement
Roll Suspension
- The roll suspension includes a torsion bar to distribute pressure evenly along each roll. This assures uniform drying and travel of flatwork through the ironer with a minimum of padding wear.

Vacuum Assist
- An ironer vacuum assist table is an available option.
